While some in the Media and some Democrats might think yesterday's reading of the constitution was pointless, I would beg to differ. A few things came out of this exercise: 1) It reminds us all of who we as a people were/are. 2) Reminds us that it's We The People who rule and not Congress or The President. If we don't like something, ie Obamacare, then you better not shove the thing down our collective throats and expect us not to do anything about it. And 3) It proves that our elected representatives can actually... READ! Who knew? After all the belly aching that went on when people demanded the congress read the bills they pass. I began to think we had a bunch of illiterate people working for us in D.C.. Of course the ousting of 69 House and Senate Democrats last November didn't hurt that cause either. Just Sayin'.
